It’s always so fun to snowboard with a group of girls and I can’t thank Burton enough for facilitating a day every winter dedicated to badass ladies.

I sprayed Jim and all he got was this picture.

Leave it to a group of talented (but crazy) people to want to produce a full movie in 72 hours. Although our entry to the Whistler Ski and Snowboard Festival Olympus 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown did not win, this beautiful video would have never seen the day without this opportunity, and the result is something that speaks to so many of us, adventurous girls.
Words from Mirae Campbell :
“A tribute to all the beautiful women in my life who share space with me in our extraordinary playground and always say yes to adventure, who inspire others to take care, who never let bad weather get in the way and who bring light to my life.”
Beautiful words co-written by Ola Krol and Mirae Campbell
Cinematography by RJ Bruni and Brendan Williams

When I get to snowboard with a group of girls:

Pictures by Mirae Campbell of the Burton Girls ride day held in Whistler, BC.

We made plan at 7pm on Friday evening to go winter camping and found ourselves in the parking lot of the Whistler Olympic Park at 9am the next day with some heavy snow coming down on us.

The hike was long, it rained, it snowed, and the weather at top got to -32 degrees in the middle of the night with strong winds.

We got up super early, had some dehydrated breaky and coffee and headed up the better looking of the peaks around our basecamp to have some powder fun.

We happened to be at Hakuba at the same time as the most talented friend: Mirae Campbell
We caught up in the backcountry of the Japanese alps over some drool-worthy pocket of fresh powder.
