1970’s lift technology required Jess Turner and her family to live an unlikely life on top of Whistler Mountain. There, Jess made a connection to the majestic environment of the high alpine, a connection she is now proud to share with her own family.

For decades, Wendy Brookbank blazed a trail for women in the mountains as a professional free-skier. Today, she leads men and women alike into Whistler Blackcomb’s most jaw-dropping terrain and helps them reach heights they would never have achieved alone.

Growing up at risk of homelessness, Dakota Williams spent his childhood in the city supporting his sister alongside his mother. He felt trapped, until, at the age of 19, Dakota got the chance to live the years he’d lost and discover a new life in the mountains thanks to Zero Ceiling.

Working at night is not a popular choice, especially in the mountain. But for Kim Eijdenberg, the Whistler Blackcomb he loves comes to life after the sun has set. Kim’s passion for the moon, the snow, and the stars come alive in one unforgettable mountain top experience.

What is mountain culture? Mike Douglas, one of Whistler’s original culture creators, explores how Whistler’s unique blend of artists, athletes, and natural environment come together to set this place apart, culminating in world-class events like Whistler Ski and Snowboard Festival.
