As part of my time on the brand team at Whistler Blackcomb, I managed and produced the vast majority of the email sends that would be distributed to a 700k + guests mailing list. The send cadence was upwards of twice weekly with many different segmentations catering to the needs and business relationship that each guest may have with the company. From local pass holders, international guests to the very finely tuned segmentation targeting “first time visitor, expert skier” or “returning visitor, family intermediate” as an example.
An important part of the production of these emails was making sure that each send would carefully highlight many different business segments of the larger Vail Resorts company, including hospitality, lift revenue, retail & rental, food & beverages as well as our community partners within the resort town of Whistler.
