Pandemic Scrapbooking

It’s funny to think that this particular piece of mixed media was created thinking that all this pandemic was going to be is a 2 week break from work with a return to normal. A year and few months into it; I rediscovered some of the fun we had early into it and what we did to kill time as everything was super unknown.

100 frames of summer

A personal goal of mine was to shoot enough photos to feed my sweet summer nostalgia in the months to come; a 100 frames of summer.
There’s so much I love about shooting analog, but that fun moment when your subject stands behind you and look at the little print, not only in amazement but also with the longing – ‘Gimme that thing’ has got to be my favourite reason why I will keep on burning through the very unreliable Fujifilm Instax wide camera.
Feeling grateful and lucky for all the friends that made this summer the best ever 🙂

Pemberton on Instax

The doc had asked me to “chill” on this specific sunny Friday of mid August after a crash in the bike park. Being forced to slow down is never an easy task for me, and I swear, Pemberton just has this automatic soothing effect on me.

A nice morning for the soul, walking through sunflower fields.

Russet Lake on Instax

A long hike, some good company and the panoramic views made for our camp trip to Russet Lake be one I won’t forget. Carrying the extra weight of my plastic camera and film in my backpack was worth all of the gold that was captured on our adventure.
